Frequently asked questions
What devices does DuctPrint run on?
DuctPrint is built for iPhone, iPad, and Android, and will be available on the App Store and Google Play. The interface is designed with touch in mind — large targets, drag-and-drop, and snapping — so it's practical to use on an iPad in the field.
Do I need an internet connection to use it?
No. DuctPrint works on your device. You can lay out duct runs, enter measurements, generate takeoffs, and print without a connection.
Where are my drawings stored?
Your layouts are kept on your device. We recommend keeping your device backup turned on so your work is protected the same way as the rest of your files.
Can I print or export a PDF?
Yes. You can print the full layout or a selected area, choose portrait or landscape, fit-to-page, toggle the grid and dimensions, and save or print as a PDF to use in the field, shop, or office.
Does DuctPrint replace CAD or BIM software?
No — and it isn't meant to. DuctPrint is a fast, focused tool for visually laying out HVAC duct runs. Measurements and takeoffs are planning aids; you're responsible for verifying sizes, fabrication, and code compliance for your specific job.
